Ernesta Besso entrance

The Ernesta Besso entrance corresponds to that of the Library, where Marco Besso had the busts of four famous Renaissance figures placed in the niches above the doors: Christopher Columbus, Leonardo da Vinci, Galileo Galilei and Michelangelo Buonarroti, which anticipate sections of his Collection bookshop.

In 2018 the Foundation arranged the busts of the hosts: Marco Besso by Enrico Chiaradia, the author of the equestrian statue of the king at the Vittoriano, and Ernesta Besso by Filippo Lovatelli. From here you can access the Salvatore Besso Library and also the new Museum Area inaugurated on 10 October 2018, to celebrate the hundred years of the Foundation
